Thomas R. Martin was born in Milwaukee, and raised in a small town in northeastern Wisconsin.
From an early age, Tom has been fascinated with God and His creation, repeatedly asking God why we are here, and what life is all about. He got his first “aha” answer in 8th grade while staring out the window at a freshly fallen snow. It turns out that his seeking – his awakening to his true identity – was the answer to his question. But this discovery only led to more questions, which led to more answers.
Tom always dreamed of being a pilot, and he feels blessed for having fulfilled his dreams. Becoming an author had never entered his mind, yet his thoughts on God continued playing in his head, like a record skipping on a turntable. The only way Tom received any peace of mind, was by releasing these ideas to the written page.
The result of his writing has produced two books. The first, “Love and Spirit, A New Set Of Eyes,” looks at how we need to change our focus away from the flesh and physical world we live in, to one of Love and Spirit. This book gives the reader a set of tools to help them look through the eyes of Love to help them see the Spirit of God.
Tom’s second book, Fishing Buddies, A Spiritual Tale, tells us how the story of God is a Spiritual Story, or as a Fisherman might say – a Spiritual Tale. And the amazing thing about this story, is that you and I are an intimate part of it! Fishing Buddies speaks to the ultimate Truth – that there is only God, only Spirit, and you and I are a part of Him. God only saved One, and we are a part of that One.
Tom is a captain at a major airline in the United States. He has spent over thirty years in the clouds, marveling at God’s creation. Tom never attended seminary, nor does he hold any degrees that would make him an expert on God. He is simply a seeker – just like you – and he loves to share his discoveries of the Spirit we’re all a part of.
